Tony Millionaire is one of my favorite cartoonists working today. He’s been doing this Maakies strip for quite some time now ,I saw this one for sale on the internet. He has a website selling original artwork for about $350 apiece, not a bad price at all. My plan is to buy one a year with my income tax returns.

Tony Millionaire also has a comic book series out from Dark horse called sock monkey and don,t forget billy hazelnuts. A couple months ago I won a Sock monkey lunch box and some Sock Monkey stationary from a dark horse online contest so I just want to say thanks and go buy those too, and check out the MaaKies hardcover collections by Fantagraphics. Buy all things Tony Millionaire and read MAAKIES every week.

Locke and Key #1 and #2 by Joe Hill IDW Publishing

March 20, 2008 · 1 Comment

I Just finished Reading Locke and Key #2 written by Joe Hill, with art by Gabriel Rodriguez. If you don’t know, Joe hill is the son of Stephen King . Joe hill is his pen name, I think his first name is joe  however. The one Thing I like most about this book is the quality. I know I should be talking  about the story but I can’ get over how nice their books look. The art is fantastic inside and out. The covers themselves are worth the  $3.99 cover price.  When the father of a family  Rendell Locke is Murdered by psychotic Sam Lesser the Locke Family Moves into the Key House in Love Craft Massachusetts.                                                                                           The Key House is an ancestral family home that is also Haunted, how lucky for us horror fans.  Issue number 1 is a horror fest that tapers off into a nice story telling pace. Issue nummber two continues that pace bringing us deeper into the mysteries of Key house. This is definately the best Horror series in comics right now.                                                                                                                                           -The RED FOX REPORT !                                                                      locke-key-01_final-12.jpg

Review of Kickass #1 story by Mark Millar art by John Romita Jr.

March 19, 2008 · 1 Comment

I’m going to start by saying job well done I really enjoyed this Issue. This Issue kicks ass for real. I rode my bike to the next town and picked up a copy from Olympic cards and comics. They had 2 covers so I picked up the red variant cover because I liked the art work better. The inside art is stellar as is usually expected from Romita J.r. I really enjoyed the concept of telling the super hero origin tale in a more realistic manner. If you have ever wondered what it would really be like to dress up in tights and fight criminals without any powers this story is for you. This issue was really Fun and left me drooling for the next issue. images-2.jpegTHE RED FOX !

Voltron for President

March 18, 2008 · No Comments

If you don’t already know who voltron is, he is a cartoon character from the 80’s. Voltron is a Robot comprised of 5 other robot lions red, black, yellow, green and blue. I am Looking to score some of these toys because I think they are so cool. He might be the only one who can save us now.  It is my long held belief that voltron is the strongest being in the universe. Does anyone disagree with me?                                                                                                                                                  youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uS5b8aQ6z8&hl=en]
